About
After working as a hairstylist, Jamie had the desire to focus her creativity somewhere else. She started creating custom trucker hats to sell at local markets in her town of Parrish, Florida (just north of the river). After receiving an overwhelming response, North River Hats & Co. was born. Jamie’s hat bar allows people to get their friends together for a fun time making custom hats.
Our Approach
The brand design is an ode to Jamie’s late father, Wiley, a talented Native American artist and jewelry maker. Jamie credits her creativity to her father and is proud to honor him and their heritage.
Jamie hosts frequent events, so it was essential to design an event page that’s simple to update. We also highlighted hat pricing and made party booking a breeze. Above all, we aimed for the site to reflect the creativity and excitement of her hat bar parties. We built the website using Elementor for WordPress.
The Results
Just three days after the website launch, Jamie booked a party and landed two new festivals. Her social media posts started gaining thousands of views and likes, with countless people asking where they could buy her hats online. Jamie knew her next step was creating an online store.
Although she considered Etsy, the platform’s high fees were a major drawback. A few months later, we launched her own e-commerce store using WooCommerce for WordPress, giving customers an easy way to shop premade hat designs. Now, Jamie saves hundreds of dollars each month by avoiding listing fees and keeps full control of her brand.
